Accordion of categories and archives on the main blog

Today I woke up early in the morning and was alone in the morning so I was checking the main blog to make sure it was working.Yesterday I was fixing the Cocoon theme tab block that was not working on the main blog so that it would work.(The link is in Japanese only)

Checking to see if anything else was not working, I found that the previously set up category accordionization was not working. Also, the links to archive years and months were vertical. The main blog started in January 2023, so it is two years long.

This blog archive is only 2 months old since I started it, so it’s only 2 lines.I had to do something about the main blog rather than this one…so it took me all day to fix it.This blog archive is only 2 months old since I started it, so it’s only 2 lines.I had to do something about the main blog rather than this one…so it took me all day to fix it.

Fix category behavior

The category was accorded shortly after the blog started in 2023.

It was working fine at the time, but when I checked again, it was not working. The plus sign that should have been in the parent category was also gone.

I checked whether it was the JavaScript or the CSS in LiteSpeedCache, and found that it was neither, but the content of the CSS.

The original was fine as a copy and paste from this blog, but I don’t know if it was WordPress or Cocoon, but it stopped working with each successive version upgrade.

The fix was to remove the “.cf” from the “a” tag. That fixed it.

Accordioning the archive

The archive had a long row, so it was accorded again.

This article was written in 2016 by “Waihira”, the author of the Cocoon theme, and it still works as it is in 2025.

However, it looked different from the categories and did not run smoothly, so we fixed it so that it looks and runs the same as the categories.

There are still some areas of concern, but the display and operation are now generally the same, so I will use this for the time being.

Lack of knowledge of CSS

When I was fixing the appearance, I felt that my knowledge of CSS was definitely lacking; HTML is still good because it is markup, but I have never studied CSS seriously, so I had to repeat the process of making small changes and checking them, which is not very efficient.

I think I need to study it properly once.

Musubi

Today is Saturday, but I had to update at night.Reworking the main blog took longer than I expected.I will try to create an archive portion of this blog once I can keep it going for a year.
