I recently worked on a holiday, so today, February 28, is my vacation in lieu of work, which happened to coincide with the arrival of the iPhone 16e.I decided to take my vacation at the beginning of the month, before the iPhone 16e was announced.I was not aiming for this.

I am seeing our children off to school and starting today’s activities.

February was an odd month of work.

I worked Sundays last week and the week before last.Instead, I took two compensatory days off two weeks ago and today.

Every year in February, there is a machine shutdown for major construction work at the manufacturing site.It is quite busy during that period when there is construction work that I am in charge of.

I was in charge of two construction projects this time.The machine went into operation yesterday.

One of the two cases was construction of a part directly related to production, so we were concerned about whether it would operate well.We did a lot of pre-planning, examination, and confirmation during the trial run.Even so, there are always oversights.

Our fears were unfounded.We were able to start up production without any trouble.I am relieved and can take a good rest for the three-day weekend starting today.This is the time when I feel the happiest as an engineer.

iPhone 16e Settings

The iPhone 16e should arrive this morning.It has arrived at the nearest delivery store.Now it is just a matter of what route they will deliver it.

We will publish an article on opening the package when it arrives.

Three-day weekend schedule

This three-day weekend will be spent setting up the iPhone 16e and updating the blog.

iPhone 16e Settings

First, apply the film.This is the first ritual.Then we proceed with the initial setup, which involves removing and inserting the SIM, so the case will have to wait.

The iPhone 16e will not take over the backup of my current iPhone 7 plus.Only the minimum number of items, such as the phonebook, are left in the iCoud.Now, when you log in with your Apple iD, only the items you had enabled should be carried over to your new iPhone 16e.

All that remains is to install the necessary apps and confirm login.

• Dropbox : For sharing KeePassXC encrypted key files.
• KeePassXC : I can’t manage passwords without it.
• Chrome : Install the latest version of Chrome and decide which one to use with Safari.
• SNS : LINE, WeChat (a must), Facebook, X, Bluesky, etc.
• Synology App : Needed for backup to NAS
• Payment and point applications : PayPay, V-points, etc.

The rest will be installed by looking at the iPhone7 plus app and determining its necessity.

SNS migration is a process with great impact if it fails, so work with caution.
