We have tweaked the settings of the Twenty Twenty Five WordPress theme.This article describes the details.
Changed the display of each post in the blog home to an excerpt
By default, the blog home displays the content (full post).This has been changed so that excerpts are displayed.
Since the blog home page is long, we had to add a “Read More” block and change it to show only the top of the page.
It would take time and effort to implement this for all past articles.Therefore, we have changed the display to show excerpts instead of the content (full articles).

Here,
- Show excerpts for articles for which excerpts have been entered
- Display a fixed amount of text from the beginning for articles for which no excerpts have been entered
The following is a brief overview of the process.
Various blocks included in the body text will no longer be included in the blog home, so that extra CSS will be excluded in the optimization of the page by LiteSpeed Cache.
Coping with Google Font installation error
The Twenty Twenty Five theme allows you to download fonts and load them locally; by downloading Google Font locally, you can prevent display delays caused by font loading.
An error occurred during font installation “There was an error installing fonts.”
Errors
Select “Appearance”, “Editor”, “Styles”, then “Edit Style”:

Select “Typography”:

Select “Manage fonts”:

Select “Install Fonts”:

To install Noto Sans JP, simply type “Noto sans jp” in the search section:

Now when I select Font Weight and try to install it, an error occurs in my environment.

This is an error that “There was an error installing fonts.”
Causes and Countermeasures
The cause of this error is that you have exceeded the upload limit to the server.
For ABLENET rental servers, the default is 2 MB.You can change it in the PHP Option in the control panel.

When I set it to 128 MB, I was able to install it without any problems.

Unify fonts used by each plug-in
The fonts used by each plug-in were different, so it was taking a long time to load the fonts.We unified the fonts used and started using fonts that had already been downloaded to the server.
Specifically,
- WP Mobile Menu
- WP Mobile Bottom Menu
font has been changed.
Changed to bold when selecting footer menu on mobile
The background color was set to change to a light color when the footer menu is selected.In addition, font-weight is changed.

.bnav_bottom_nav_wrapper ul li a .bnav_menu_items:hover .text_wrapper, .bnav_bottom_nav_wrapper ul li.current_page_item a .text_wrapper, .bnav_bottom_nav_wrapper ul li.current_page_parent a .text_wrapper, .bnav_bottom_nav_wrapper ul li.current_page_item a .bnav_menu_items .cart_total {
font-weight: 800;
}
add style.cssUCSS does not need to be regenerated if defined in the child theme’s style.css.
Expansion of UCSS Generation Page
We have expanded the pages that generate UCSS, since there seems to be no display disturbance and the amount of page optimization usage has become excessive.
Changed to generate up to March 2025 for individual post pages.

Musubi
Tweaked some minor details of the Twenty Twenty Five theme.
- Changed the display of each post in the blog home to an excerpt
- Dealing with font installation problems
- Unify fonts used in plug-ins
- Font changed to bold when footer menu is selected
The first item is something I’ve wanted to do for a while: optimize the blog home with LiteSpeed Cache to reduce CSS.
I am thinking of changing Japanese and Simplified Chinese fonts to Noto as well.I have not fully researched font settings for multilingual environments, so I am leaving them as they are this time.
There are many things I want to do, but my weekend off is over.I hope to continue to grow, step by step, little by little.
