iPhone 16e Bluetooth is stable

So far, we have not experienced any problems with the Bluetooth functionality of the iPhone 16e.

Whether I am typing with a Bluetooth keyboard or operating a Bluetooth mouse, the connection is stable and uninterrupted.

I trust Apple products when it comes to Bluetooth functionality, as I had no interruptions with my previous iPhone7 plus.

Bluetooth Keyboard Keychron K8

I bring my Keychron K8 US Array Brown Axis to work, so I switch to a wired connection when I use it for work and a Bluetooth connection when I connect it to my iPhone 16e.(The link is to the Keychron K8 Pro US Array Brown Axis that I use at home.)

and switched from Windows/Android mode to Mac/iOS mode with a different key arrangement.

It is different from the keytop display, but this can be covered by familiarity. The most frequently used shortcuts are as follows

  • Alt+c for copy, Alt+v for paste
  • Home and End are not available, so Ctrl+Left Arrow and Ctrl+Right Arrow are used instead.
  • IME ON/OFF is Ctrl+SPACE

Once you learn this, you can type just like on a PC.

It is very easy to input data with the same touch as a PC.

Bluetooth Mouse Logocool G603

I also brought my own Logitech G603 mouse, connected to my PC with a LIGHTSPEED USB dongle and to my iPhone 16e via Bluetooth.

Since I cannot put dedicated software on my PC, I cannot use the multi-buttons, but on my iPhone 16e, I use the scroll buttons to switch tasks and the buttons on the left side to send tasks. This makes it very easy to switch between tasks, such as when using Gemini open in Chrome to generate a slug, or when replying to a LINE message when it comes in.

What to look for when choosing a keyboard and mouse

My priority in choosing a keyboard and mouse, including at home, is to support both wired or dedicated dongle + Bluetooth.

Bluetooth connection is not possible when configuring UEFI on a PC.Wired or dedicated dongle is possible. At a minimum, you must have one of these connection methods to deal with PC problems.

Bluetooth connectivity is essential for connecting to an iPhone, iPad, or sub-PC.Since we do not want to use a switching device, we choose a model with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for some time lag.

Next comes the key touch and the number and arrangement of buttons and keys.I choose TKL because I don’t need a numeric keypad, but I prefer to have the same layout of cursor keys and other keys as full keys.

I prefer a mouse with many buttons, but the Logitech MX Master 3S I use at home is so easy to use that I plan to use it again next time.

I am keeping the Logitech G604 on hand because I could not cure the chattering.I hope to revive it by replacing the switch sometime in the future.

Similarly, the Razor BlackWidow Lite US keyboard is also dormant because of chattering.I hope to fix this one soon and bring it back to life.

Keyboards and mice are a matter of taste. In the past, I used to think that a low-cost keyboard was good enough to use. Now, we choose the ones that are a little more expensive but still easy to use.

The keyboard swamp is deep and I am careful not to get into it.
