Today’s program starts at 12:30.
What is the value of the site?
The content of this lunch break update is not objectively improving the value of the site.
Then I suddenly wondered what the value of the site was.
- Information that can help you solve your problems.
- Information that will be helpful for new initiatives
- Information I could have gotten that I never would have thought of on my own.
I guess it’s somewhere in the middle. After all, this lunch break text does not fit into items 1-3, so it will not improve the value of the site.
But this writing has helped me to organize the information in my mind, and has inspired me to work on new things.
This time, I worked on the multilingualization of the site over the weekend, and it was also something that came to me while I was writing this text. What I wrote during my lunch break is not directly related to the new project, but I personally feel that it is useful in the sense that I can write down what came to my mind while writing and summarize it later, or even if I don’t write it down, I can remember it in a corner of my mind and try to do it later.I personally feel that it helps me in that sense.
Therefore, we will continue to update articles during lunch breaks.Even if it does not directly improve the value of the site, we believe it will help indirectly.
Easy to write with the same editorial look and feel.
Changes to h2 and h3 settings are now reflected in the edit screen as well.
Perhaps articles like this will improve the value of the site.
Just having the look and feel of the article in editing and the look and feel of the published article will make writing easier.
Unlike other useful themes, the Twenty Twenty Five theme of WordPress has many things to solve one by one in order to use it as a normal blog. That part is my own food for thought and will be useful in something in the future.
I have had many experiences where what I am working on at the present time is useful after some time has passed. What I learned in high school (or rather, technical college) or college, in class or outside of class, is suddenly relevant to my current work, though not 100%.
As with relationships, what we experience at that time of year will not be in vain.We believe it is important to be diligent in the present for the sake of our future selves.
Broken links on multilingualized sites
Since there are still few non-Japanese articles, there are inevitably some broken links. For example, the yearly links. The categories are displayed just not found, but the year-by-year links were 404’d.We will make one of last year’s articles multilingual.
Also, the 404 page was not multilingual. We will fix this as well.
PS : I fixed both points.
I guess the global menu is still a must.
Since the articles are lined up immediately on the blog home page, the traffic line to the articles seems to be weak. There is a breadcrumb list, so we will try to set up a global menu.
Nothing complicated is needed, so no specific plug-ins are used, and category-specific links to useful articles are created in WordPress side-by-side blocks.
If we make it a sliding type, JavaScript will be involved, and there is a possibility that the ad display will be hidden, making it difficult to adjust the layout.Since we do not need such a function, we will create it by ourselves.
PS : I created a pseudo-global menu.Moved the top right menu to the bottom of the header and added links to category pages. On mobile, it will be a hamburger menu.
