This site is multilingualized with the Bogo plugin. I publish articles mainly in Japanese, but also in English and Simplified Chinese.

The Bogo plugin provides a way to switch only the UI language without switching the site language.

Do not switch the language of the site

In the “Settings” “General” section of the admin page, there is a section for setting the language of the site; the “Site Language” should not be toggled when using the Bogo plugin.

The Bogo plugin has one base language; this base source language is determined when Bogo is installed.

After publishing an article in Bogo, when I switch the “Site Languages” option, the languages of the various pages are displayed in a mixed and unified manner.(Experienced)

Therefore, please note that you cannot switch “Site Language” after installing Bogo.

Easily switch between UI (display) languages

In order to publish articles in multiple languages, the WordPress configuration screens, etc. are captured using the Snipping Tool with the settings changed in each language.

The UI (display) language switching area is located in the upper right corner of the administration screen. The selected language is displayed, and clicking on it allows you to select an installed language.

The “Site Language” will remain the same, but only the UI (display) will be switched. This way, all translated parts will be switched.

The results of the switchover are checked and the text of the translation is also reworked.

When you look at multilingual sites, you will find that most of the pages have the captcha in English and only the text is translated.It is true that it is time-consuming to capture and replace the text. But I felt that if the site is multilingual, it would be more helpful to include the captcha and replace it.
