We have migrated the tags used to collect Google Analytics data to Cloudflare Zaraz. The free plan allows up to 1,000,000 events, which should be fine as long as the number of visits is low.

Cloudflare Zaraz Migrates Tag Management to CDN

Cloudflare Zaraz is a service that provides the tags used by Google Analytics and Google Tag on the CDN side.

Prior to moving to CDN, Google Analytics tags were embedded in code snippets in the Sitekit by Google plugin.

When you migrate your Google Analytics tags to Cloudflare Zaraz, the CDN will provide the tags and Google Analytics will collect the data.

You can exclude Google Analytics code snippets from the original server (or Origin, in Cloudflare parlance).

In order to migrate the process to CDN as much as possible, I tried to migrate it.

Check if you are collecting data with Google Analytics

I have just migrated so I do not know if we are collecting the data properly. I will check over the next few days to see if the data is being collected.

Increased reliance on Cloudflare services

To date, I have migrated the following services to Cloudflare.

  • CDN (from QUIC.cloud)
  • Turnstile (from Google reCAPTCHA)
  • Zaraz (contents of this article)

All of these services are available in the free range. There are other things I would like to try.

For a fee, Automatic Platform Optimization for WordPress (APO) is something I would like to try once I can cover it with Google AdSense revenue.

With multiple sites, it is convenient to try one site and horizontally expand to the others.

This site is a place to try out different things. We will actively test our newly acquired knowledge.I believe that this will lead to experience, which in turn will lead to growth.
