More content in style.css and functions.php

As the number of plug-ins grows, CSS will need to be fine-tuned for each one.We also use CSS and PHP (or rather, JavaScript) to fix display distortions caused by LiteSpeed Cache plugin optimization.

All of the above have combined to increase the contents of style.css and functions.php in the Twenty Twenty Five child theme. For example, CSS and PHP have been added in this past article.

I am able to distinguish between the two by adding comments where appropriate. But I felt that the amount of scrolling I had to do to get to the part I wanted to correct was too much.

WPCode Lite plugin to manage CSS, PHP, and JavaScript

We felt that it was time to reach the limits of our current management methods. We knew that if we added more CSS and PHP, it would become unmanageable.

So we decided to install the WPCode Lite plugin to manage CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.

About the WPCode Lite Plug-in

The WPCode Lite plugin manages CSS, PHP, and JavaScript like articles. You can enable or disable each of them. You can also select the conditions to be applied in detail, which can be used to reduce the amount of CSS on unnecessary pages.

For example, on my blog, Bogo’s language switching block and table of contents are not displayed on the blog home page. Both are displayed on individual post pages.

In such cases, there is no need to load the Bogo and Table of Contents CSS into the blog home.

The WPCode Lite plugin provides a convenient way to manage CSS, PHP, and JavaScript as well as fine-tune the conditions under which they are applied.

Also, if there is an error, the system cannot be activated and a message will be displayed, thus preventing problems due to input errors.

WPCode vs. Code Snippets

A similar plugin is the Code Snippets plugin.

I chose the WPCode plugin over Code Snippets because it supports CSS management within the free range.

Personally, I sometimes use CSS to prevent malfunctions associated with LiteSpeed Cache plugin optimization, and it would be a one-size-fits-all solution if I can’t manage CSS as well.

The WPCode plugin can manage CSS even in Lite’s free framework.

Migration of style.css and functions.php contents to WPCode Lite

All CSS, PHP, and JavaScript that were previously separated by comments have been moved to the WPCode Lite plugin.

After the migration, the changes have been reflected without problems: style.css and functions.php are now empty. It’s so clean.

All CSS, PHP, and JavaScript that were previously entered in styles.css and functions.php of the Twenty Twenty Five child theme have been migrated to the WPCode Lite plugin.

After the transition, everything is reflected and working fine.

It is very useful to be able to manage CSS and PHP for each function.I think it will come in handy when making various adjustments in the future.

I was doing a lot of research yesterday and today, and my two day break ended quickly.I will post an article about what I was researching when I post this evening update.
